Mike Dean

Mike has been part of Manorwood since its inception in 2015, bringing with him experience from several architectural practices where he worked as an assistant and technician.

He earned his BA (Hons) in Architecture from Portsmouth University in 2012. While he has a passion for modern architecture, he also holds a keen interest in Victorian and Edwardian design, with a real appreciation for industrial buildings. Mike enjoys blending historical elements with a contemporary approach to create unique and engaging spaces that honour the past while embracing the future.

Over the years, Mike has designed numerous buildings that embody this ‘old-meets-new’ ethos, and he continues to thrive in this approach to architecture.

At Manorwood, Mike handles the majority of 2D and 3D drawing work, whether it’s crafting entirely new designs, preparing detailed plans for Planning and Listed Building Applications, or developing Schedules of Repair and Conversion Details.

A meticulous designer with a keen eye for detail, Mike takes great pride in his presentation skills and is always refining processes to improve the efficiency of Manorwood’s documentation. He’s highly skilled in a variety of software programs, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BricsCAD, InDesign, and the full Affinity Suite.
