Shaun Moger
Shaun began working as a Historic Building Consultant for Manorwood in April 2026.
An interest in all things cultural first saw him study History in the UK and Germany, graduating from Cardiff University with first-class honours in BA (Hons) in History & German. Motivated by a love of design and working hands-on, he then followed this with a MSc in Historic Building Conservation from Kingston University London.
In his professional capacity as a Heritage Consultant, Shaun has experience covering a wide range of heritage sites, clients, and sectors across England and this diversity is something he particularly values together with creative and adaptive (re)use of the historic environment. Furthermore, a keen interest in the relationship between the historic environment and sustainability prompted him to pursue and successfully complete the ABBE Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings and contribute an editorial article to the Listed Heritage Magazine, published by the Listed Property Owners Club.
On a practical level, his experience has given him a strong understanding of planning policy, legislation, case law, and Historic England guidance, in addition to seeing through a wide range of planning proposals and other heritage matters, all supported by detailed documentation such as Heritage Statements, Curtilage and Setting Assessments, Appeal Statements, and more. Additionally, Shaun has used his artistic and technical skills to produce visual representations and photomontages for projects.
Outside of work, Shaun continues his passion for the historic through his membership of the Vintage Motorcycle Club, interest in traditional craftsmanship, and playing village cricket around Winchester and the South Downs.
